Nonogram

What is Nonogram?

Nonogram is a logic puzzle where number clues reveal hidden pixel art. Unlike many Sudoku-style games, you're not placing symbols—you'll decide which cells to fill or leave empty until a complete image appears. Every solved puzzle feels like uncovering a secret drawing.

How to Play

Your objective is to reveal the hidden picture by filling the correct squares.

Controls

Mouse: Click to fill or mark a cell.

Touchscreen: Tap to interact with the grid.

Use the numbers beside each row and column to determine where blocks belong. Every clue represents one or more groups of consecutive filled cells.

Hardest Challenges

The middle stage is usually the toughest because several rows seem equally possible. New players often fill extra squares too early, forcing them to restart later.

Best Tips for Beginners

1. Start with rows or columns that are almost full

Long clue numbers often give guaranteed placements, making the rest of the puzzle easier.

2. Mark confirmed empty cells immediately

Crossing out impossible spaces keeps the grid organized and prevents repeated mistakes.

3. Don't treat each row separately

Compare row and column clues together. Many difficult cells become obvious only when both directions agree.

4. Finish small sections before chasing difficult clues

Clearing one section often reveals fresh clues in nearby rows and columns.

5. Leave uncertain cells blank

I made faster progress after resisting the urge to guess. Waiting for additional clues usually solved the problem naturally.

Why Players Like It

Hidden pixel art provides a satisfying reward.

Every puzzle relies on logic instead of luck.

Relaxing pace with no pressure to react quickly.

Gradually increases in difficulty without feeling unfair.

Great for improving concentration and pattern recognition.

Experience

After solving multiple puzzles, I found that marking empty cells was just as important as filling blocks. Once I started using crosses consistently, I made far fewer mistakes and completed larger grids much faster. Unlike many logic puzzle games that rely on trial and error, Nonogram rewards careful observation and patience, making every completed picture feel genuinely earned.
