1. Start with small amounts of dark colors
Black and dark blue quickly overpower lighter shades. It's much easier to darken a color than to brighten one after mixing.
2. Compare before adding more paint
Pause for a moment after every adjustment. Tiny changes often make a bigger difference than expected.
3. Build colors gradually
Instead of mixing everything at once, begin with the dominant color and add secondary colors little by little for better accuracy.

Experience
During gameplay, the most enjoyable part was experimenting with different color combinations instead of relying on random guesses.
